Srinagar: The Armed Forces Flag Day Programme was today held at Sainik Bhawan, Srinagar to honour the martyrs and men in uniform who voluntarily fought and continue to safeguard the country’s honour.
The programme was attended by the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole; Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, who is also President Sainik Board, Srinagar and GOC 31 Sub Area among other senior government officials.
Speaking on the Occasion, Divisional Commissioner highlighted the role of Sainiks and called them guardians of the Nation who protect its citizens.
During the interaction with the veterans the Div Com and DC Srinagar assured all support from the civil administration towards welfare of Ex-Servicemen and their families.
Meanwhile, Ex-Servicemen community thanked Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar; HQ 15 Corps, HQ 31 Sub Area, JAK LI Regimental Centre (JAK LI RC) for their initiatives taken for the welfare of Ex-Servicemen Community.
