Srinagar, June 26: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Saturday visited the grief-stricken family of late Dr Mohammad RafiqKochak at Anantnag to share in their grief and express solidarity with them in their hour of bereavement.

According to a statement issued here, Recalling the contribution of late Rafiq Sahib’s contribution towards the party, Farooq said, “feisty and hearty, late Rafiq Sahib was more circumspect in his articulation and less enamored of the spotlight. He was every bit as affable as his father late GhulamRasoolKochak Sahib. Rafiq Sahib too followed the footsteps of his illustrious father sparing no efforts to increase the footprints of the party across South Kashmir,” he said.

“I received the news of Rafiq Sahib’s passing away with despair; it’s a personal loss and indubitably an unfathomable loss for the party’s local unit. I pray for peace to the soul of the deceased in the highest echelons of Jannat and much needed strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.
