Srinagar: In the last leg of the organisational elections of the National Conference (NC), Ghulam Nabi Rather was unanimously elected as District President Ganderbal on Thursday.
A statement of NC issued here said that the election for the post was held at the party’s office in Ganderbal in presence of incharge elections Bashir Veeri and election observers including Syed Tauqeer, J S Azad and G N Bhat.
NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Mustafa Kamal, and Provincial President, Kashmir, Nasir Aslam Wani felicitated Rather on his victory and expressed hope that his election for the post would benefit NC at the grass root level.
