Kulgam: A 17-year-old youth riding a scooter died after he was hit by a truck at Kousarbal area of Damhal Hanjipora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday.
An official said that a truck (JK05E 545) driven by one Yaseen Hakeem of Zoonimar, Srinagar hit Burhan Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid Thokar of D H Pora, while he was riding a scooter (JK18C 3955).
Burhan was critically injured in the accident,” he said.
The official said that Burhan was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
