Startup India in collaboration with Western Digital, the world’s leading data storage solutions provider invite applications for Data Innovation Bazaar – A unique platform to showcase ideas that can transform and advance India’s data needs, from students, ideation and validation stage startups and individual innovators.
The Innovation Bazar will be held in December, while the last date for filing the application is November 1.

The initiative is equally designed to help students and budding entrepreneurs to not just showcase their ideas but build them into successful businesses. Problem Statements in Challenge
The Challenge looks to encourage the creation of solutions and products that use the power of data to address the issues identified by the following problem statements:
1. Create initiatives that seek to provide affordable, sustainable enrolment and access to educational programs at scale
2. Develop new models of improving air quality in urban areas
3. Establish affordable, effective systems of access to scalable, quality healthcare and healthcare records
4. Create solutions that seek to provide safe and smart mobility in the transportation sector
5. Develop effective and affordable uses of clean and renewable energy in everyday use and applications
Phases of the Challenge
Phase I – Online Applications
The receipt and processing of applications for the challenge will open on September 19 until November 1, 2018. Upon processing the applications received, the sponsors at their sole discretion shall invite forty (40) teams to present their innovative ideas and concepts. This will take place at a marquee venue (yet to be confirmed) in New Delhi as part of Phase II described below.
Phase II – Data Innovation Bazaar Presentation
Phase II of the challenge involves a presentation by the teams selected in Phase I. All selected teams participating will showcase their solution in a bazaar like specially designed format, to a panel of select industry experts and academia.
