Parents rue lack of facilities for students at Saint Joseph’s school

Parents of students enrolled in Saint Joseph’s higher secondary school Baramulla have complained against school management for failing to provide adequate facilities to students during prevailing winter season. A delegation of parents said school charges hefty fees from parents, but the authorities have failed to provide basic facilities to students particularly those enrolled in kindergarten. One of the parents said the school has failed to repair or upgrade toilet facilities in the school. “The school authorities have failed to repair the toilets for past many years,” the parent said. The delegation said the school has failed to improve condition of classrooms as well. “The school management justifies the hefty fee saying that it is utilised for welfare of students but on ground we don’t find any measure being taken for welfare of students,” the parent said. Principal Saint Joseph’s higher secondary school, Fr Pippin was not available for his comments despite repeated attempts.
