Teachers bag state-level award

The school education department has awarded two teachers with best teacher award. Both the teachers were felicitated by Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, advisor to J&K Governor, during a function organized by education department to celebrate Teachers Day last week. Hilal Ahmad Lone from Iqbal Abad government higher secondary school (HSS) in Ganderbal was awarded as best teacher for 2018 in male category. Lone was appointed as teacher in 2011. He played a vital role in establishment of around 500 smart classes in different schools. He has provided IT training to around 1000 teachers during his service. He has also participated in various international seminars and digital India literacy programmes. Charanpreet Kour from Kalakote, Rajouri was awarded as best female teacher in female category. She was appointed as teacher in 2009 and since then she has been actively participating in various programmes aimed at improving education standards. She has been earlier awarded as best resource person in 2015-16. Kour has also acted as national resource person for NCERT in integrated learning program. She has also bagged master trainer award in 2017 from project director ICDS.
