One person was killed while 10 others were injured in three separate road accidents in Rajouri district on Tuesday. Police said that an accident took place when two motorcycles collided head-on at Nerojal village on Rajouri-Thanamandi road resulting in injuries to four persons.
All the injured were shifted to Rajouri hospital where oneinjured namely Azhar Lone son of Farooq Lone succumbed while three injurednamely BasharatHussain son of Munshi Khan, AmjadHussain son of Mohammad Zafferand Umar Nissar son of Nissar Khan were provided first aid.
Police added that all the three injured were later referredto government medical college and hospital Jammu due to their criticalcondition.
In another accident of a minibus at Nowshera, six passengerssustained injuries and all have been hospitalised.
Police said that the accident took place when a minibus JK114522 on way to Nowshera from Siot turned turtle near petrol pump Nowshera andall the injured were rushed to Nowshera hospital where they are undertreatment. In third accident, collision took place between a Tavera JK01R7792 and motorcycle JK02AB 6687 onhighway at Dalogra village of Rajouri resulting in injuries to motorcyclistAjeet Singh son of Sant Ram resident of Siot. Injured was later shifted to armyhospital Rajouri for treatment.
Police have registered cases under relevant sections of lawin all the three accidents.
