A woman was killed while three others were injured in a car accident at Tarpai bridge area on Rajouri-Thanamandi road.
A police official told Greater Kashmir the accident took place on Tuesday evening when a Safari car bearing registration number HR01AG 2893 on way to Rajouri from Thanamandi, skidded off a road and fell into a gorge at Tarpai bridge area.
In the accident, he said, four persons were injured who were rescued out of the gorge by the locals. The injured were taken to district hospital Rajouri.
One of the injured, identified as Asia Akhter wife of Mukhtair Hussain succumbed during treatment in the district hospital, the official said.
The other injured are under treatment in hospital. They have been identified as Azhar Mehmood son of Mohammad Shabir, Mukhtar Hussain son of Ajwar Hussain and Amjad Hussain son of Bashir Hussain, all resident of village Kothra of Darhal tehsil.
Police have registered a case in this regard.
