Taking strong note stray cattle, the local police on Monday booked six people, who leave free their livestock on roads, and action has been initiated against them.
In the recent times, it was learnt that several stray cattle move on the roads and streets, putting people in problem and even cause road accidents, thereby creating a risk of loss of life and property, police said.
The authorities also served warnings to the owners of these stray cattle, who allegedly did not bother to pay any concern.
The people who have been booked include, Mohammed Rashid, Shamim Akhter, Nazir Mohammed, Shakeel Ahmed, Haji Ghulam Qadir and Zaffar Iqbal.
The police has also warned all the cattle owners to refrain from leaving their cattle unattended on the road.
