9 injured in road accidents across Rajouri

Nine people sustained injuries in separate road accidents across Rajouri district on Friday.

Three people sustained injuries when a vehicle they were travelling in skidded of the road and rolled to one side in Kalakote on Friday evening.

   

Reports said, “The accident took place at around 5:30 pm near Thermal Colony Kalakote, wherein a Tata Magic vehicle, JK11A 9275, skidded off the road and rolled to one side. Subsequently, three people sustained injuries.

All the injured were shifted to SDH Kalakote, from where one of them, identified as Kamal Singh, son of Ami Chand and a resident of Dali, was referred to GMC&H Jammu as his injuries were of critical in nature.

The other two continue to be under treatment at SDH Kalakote.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident.

Meanwhile, in another accident, a motorcycle, without registration number, skidded off the road near Hasplote on Rajouri-Thannamandi road. As a result, two boys, who were on their way to Baba Ghulam Shah Badhsah shrine, sustained critical injuries.

They injured have been identified as Mohammad Umer and Mohammad Majid and were undergoing treatment at district hospital Rajouri, when last reports poured in.

In another accident, which took place at about 7:30 pm at Muradpur village on Rajouri-Jammu highway, a Tanker, JK02J 1783, collided with an Alto car, HR51P 0427. As a result, four people travelling in the car sustained injuries.

The injured have been identified as Mujtaba Hussain, Mohammad Ajaz, Mohammed Iddress and Sumit Sharma. All of them were undergoing treatment at district hospital Rajouri, till last reports poured in.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident.
