Senior National Conference Leader and Member Legislative Assembly Javed Ahmed Rana on Friday said that if Article 35-A is abrogated, the situation in the state will deteriorate and it might lead to a massive revolt and protests across Jammu and Kashmir state.
While addressing a public meeting in Balnoi area of Mendhar assembly segment, Rana said, “Agenda of BJP and RSS is basically to erode autonomous structure of J&K and they are trying to manipulate facts before the Supreme Court. But, nonetheless, I have utmost faith in the apex court and I am sure that it will dismiss the challenge to remove Article 35-A.”
Rana hoped that the apex court takes into consideration all the historical aspects and aspirations before taking any decision in this regard.
“This article defines us and its removal will have implications throughout the state,” he said.
