ADC Post in Nowshera: Bandh in Nowshera continues, shops open in Sunderbani, Kalakote

Traders from Kalakote and Sunderbani opened their business establishments on Monday, but warned the state government of intense agitations in the near future if their demand for district status is not met. While in Nowshera, the locals continued to observe a bandh for the 11th consecutive day.

As per reports, traders opened their business establishments in Kalakote and Sunderbani, with normal life getting restored.

   

“Traders and members of the Civil Society in Kalakote have decided to convene a meeting today to decide the further course of action, while Sunderbani people demanded to stage protests for 2 hours every day in favour of their demand,” the report said.

Meanwhile, in Nowshera, the bandh entered its 11th day with all business establishments remaining closed. The locals took out a protest rally in the main town, where they raised anti-government slogans and alleged that the government is still ignoring their genuine demand. They said that the agitation will continue until district status is given to Nowshera.
