Jammu, Dec: Lawyer MeenuPadha and Nikhil Padha called on Lieutenant Governor ManojSinha and requested him to re-constitute the State Commission for Women and Child Rights so that they could be saved from domestic violence, sexual abuse, child labour, and trafficking.
An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that MeenuPadha drew LG’s attention towards the condition of women and children and requested him to take measures to improve the situation.
The LG assured them that their concerns would be addressed appropriately.
