Drawing competition organised by Bharat Scouts, Guides

Srinagar: J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Jammu, organised a drawing competition in connection with celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaostav” today.

According to a press note the theme of the drawing competition was-“Say No to Drugs”. About 60 Scouts/Guides, Scouters/Guiders and heads of various institutions participated. Matri Jain, State Commissioner (G) was the chief guest on the occasion.

   

Usha Chunni, PL Dubey, Manjeet Kour, Harvinder Kour, Ashok Sharma, Krishna, Jyoti, Kanchan Sharma, RC Vaid , Ravinder Sadhu, Sandeep, Rita, Dolly and other teachers also attended.

The chief guest appreciated the steps being taken by this movement to spread the message of this movement to every corner of the UT.

He felt impressed that this movement is trying to cultivate basic values such as commitment, conviction, character, courtesy and cheerfulness in the right earnestness in the young Scouts and Guides which is the need of the hour.

She also expressed deep concern over the growing menace of drugs.

The event was conceived and conducted under the directions of Nasreen Khan, State Secretary cum Administrative Officer, J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides, Jammu.
