Ramban: A truck driver was injured in a motor accident when two load carriers had a head-on collision at T-Chowk on the outskirts of Banihal on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Tuesday.
Police said a truck (JK03H 9255) loaded with apples was on its way to Jammu and in a bid to overtake, collided with a truck (JK05E 1251) coming from the opposite direction at T-Chowk, Banihal resulting in grievous injuries to a driver Liyaqat Farooq Bhat, son of Farooq Ahmad of Sopore, Baramulla.
He was rushed to Sub District Hospital Banihal for treatment.
