The district administration on Wednesday with held salaries of 12 zonal education officers (ZEOs) and 1386 headmasters of Education Department for failing to provide uniforms to students for current academic year.
Greater Kashmir had reported on Wednesday that mandatory two set uniforms for majority of students up to class 8 in the district’s schools were not issued till date.
Taking strong note of the report, the district administration ordered for withholding salaries of 12 ZEOs and 1386 headmasters of district’s schools, said an official spokesperson.
He also said that joint director of the department was directed to ensure that uniforms are provided to students within 10 days.
