Govt ignoring border areas, alleges NC

National Conference today termed tall claims of the present dispensation for inclusive developmental projects in border area as a hollow claim and said that government is ignoring border areas while framing developmental plans.

“Provincial President of Youth National Conference Ajaz Jan during his visit of the border villages in Poonch district met the local people and they apprised him of developmental crisis in their respective areas,” a NC spokesman said in a statement.

“Locals especially decried poor healthcare services in their area and lack of government initiatives to start new developmental projects in border areas,” he added.

Jan asked PDP and BJP government  to come clear on its promise of inclusive development of border areas.

He said that during previous government, a number of developmental projects were started in border areas and schemes like BADP were implemented in letter and spirit but present regime has neither started new projects not bothered to ensure continuity of works started by the previous government.

Quoting the miseries of border population, Jan also asked Government of both India and Pakistan to open peace channel of talks and to prevent tension on borders which is claiming lives.
