The General Reserve Engineering Force (GREF), nodal authority for maintenance of Jammu Rajouri Poonch National Highway, has started work for regular maintenance and repair of potholes on and along highway.
The district administration Rajouri informed that work was started after directions were issued by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Rajesh K Shavan.
“In a recent meeting, the Deputy Commissioner discussed the issue of increasing potholes on the highway and asked GREF to carry out necessary repairs,” said officials.
They added that on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, GREF started work for maintenance and repair of potholes on the highway.
