Indo-Pak troops exchange fire along LoC

After a daylong lull, Indo-Pak armies exchanged gunfire along line of control in Nowshera’s Kalal and Sunderbani’s Daddal areas. 

Sources said at about 1:10 PM, the firing started along the LOC in Nowshera Kalal area and “Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing”. 

   

“Initially only small arms were used, but later heavy weapons including mortars were also used and the both sides fired mortar shells against each other,” sources said.

Te firing that started at 1:10 PM took place at four separate forward locations of LoC and was going on intermittently when last reports came in.

Similarly, at Daddal area of LoC in Sunderbani sector, the firing started at about 2:40 PM and both sides pounded each other with mortar shells.

The firing in the area lasted for about an hour. 

From both the areas, no report of any loss of life or injury was received.
