PM Modi’s 2nd Visit To Rajouri In 2 Years | People appeal PMO for special package

Rajouri, Nov 5: The people of Rajouri district are terming the two visits of Prime Minister NarendraModi to Rajouri district in last two years as “golden moments” for the border district and urged the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to sanction a special package for the hilly district to meet the development deficit.

PM Modi on Thursday reached Nowshera area of Rajouri district where he celebrated Diwali with the Army men in the Nowshera Brigade and paid tributes to Brig Muhammad Usman, Lt R RRane and N K Jadunath.

   

In 2019, PM Modi had also visited Rajouri ahead of Diwali and met Army personnel at Ace of Spades Division in Rajouri.

The twin visits of the PM in Rajouri district during the past two years is being seen as “golden moments” for the Rajouri district as it is probably the first area in far off regions of the country where the PM visited twice during the last two years.

BJP leader KapilSaryal of Rajouri said that this was no less than a moment of pride for the residents of Rajouri.

Social activists Vikran Kumar and Muhammad Arif said that the PMO should now sanction a special package for Rajouri district and come up with infrastructure like a railway line between Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch.
