Power supply restored after 72 hours in Ramban areas

Ramban: People heaved a sigh of relief as power supply was restored after 72 hours across Ramban on Tuesday morning.

The supply was snapped after employees of PDD went on an indefinite strike which led to a total blackout in almost all the district.

“I moved to my relatives house as there was no power at home. The disruption in power has led to disruption of drinking water at our house,” said Rakesh Gupta, a resident of Ramban.

“Our men and workers are on the job since Tuesday morning itself. I have supervised the restoration wor,” Executive Engineer of JPDCL Nissar Ahmed said.

Residents said repeated calls to the administration had remained unanswered. “We have heaved a siege of relief now that power has finally been restored,” said residents of Ramban.
