The residents of Rajouri town are irked over the increasing number of unscheduled power curtailments across the district.
A large number of people, including Rajesh Gupta from Rajouri town, Mohammad Farooq from Budhal, Sajad Ahmed from Kotranka and people from other rural as well as urban areas termed unscheduled power curtailment as the biggest issue concerning them these days.
They said, “Unscheduled curtailment of power is increasing with each passing day and is taking toll on normal life. As examinations of several classes are going on, the kids need to study. But they are not able to, keeping the unscheduled power cuts in mind.”
The authorities should stick to the schedule for curtailment, if at all it is necessary, they said, while appealing to the power development department to keep a check on the problem.
