Inhabitants of Sanai village of Surankote today protested against Public Health Engineering department and kept local road blocked for hours.
Raising slogans against PHE department, locals blocked road and erected barricades. They alleged that water supply network of PHE has almost collapsed in the area and natural water sources are the only source for the people.
They alleged that several PHE employees are posted in the village but supply is made once or twice in a month making people suffer.
After hours long protest, concerned Engineer of the area reached the spot and pacified the protesters. They assured them that water supply would be restored in shortest possible time.
