After intense cross-border firing and shelling along the Line of Control in Poonch as well as Nowshera sectors on Wednesday, the entire border belt wore an uneasy calm on Thursday.
A police officer said that cross-border firing lasted tillWednesday evening in Poonch sector, while it lasted for over two-hours inNowshera.
He added that since Wednesday late evening, no freshincident of cross-border exchange of fire was reported.
