Upgrade high school, demand Kasblari residents

The residents of Kasblari village of Mendhar Wednesday demanded up-gradation of the local high school, while accusing successive governments of ignoring their “genuine demand”.

The locals said, “Government high school KasblarilLower wasset up in 1918 and then upgraded to middle school-level in 1996. It was furtherupgraded to high school level in 2005.”

   

“Four high schools are located in the vicinity of highschool Kasblari lower, including high school Salani, high school Barela, highschool Topa and high school Uchaad, which makes the school feasible forup-gradation,” they said.

The local sarpanch, Abdul Rashid, accused successivegovernments of “ignoring the needed up-gradation of school” and said that thepeople have now pinned their hopes on the present governor’s administration.

He further said that more than 250 students are enrolled inthe school, which includes 150 in 9th and 10th class alone. He added that girlstudents of the area are among the worst affected by the delay in up-gradation.
