A 28-year-old woman was Monday found hanging from the ceiling of her house in Sajroo village of Mahore sub-division.
A police officer said, “Rubeena Begum, wife of AltafHussain, was found hanging at about 10 am by her family. They informed thepolice and a team from Mahore police station reached the spot and took the bodyinto its possession.”
The body was shifted to sub-district hospital, Mahore,where postmortem was conducted, the officer said, adding that later, the bodywas handed over to the deceased’s legal heirs.
An FIR has been registered and police are investigatingthe case further.
