Srinagar, June 11: Residents of Sarfie Colony, Lane No 3, Buchpora, are facing acute drinking water shortage for last two months.
A delegation from the area said they are not receiving proper drinking water supply round the clock thus forcing them to water in containers from other areas.
Tariq Ahmad, resident of the area said, “we approached all senior officials of PHE Department for water supply restoration but to no avail.”
He further said, “We make fervent appeal to Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to look into the matter.”
Khalid Ahmad, another resident said, “We approached all the concerned officials of the PHE department but nothing was done due to which our daily life becomes miserable.”
“The posh areas are having round the clock water supply while the common people like us have to face water shortage all the time,” said Najeeb ul Amin, another resident.
