5 Chinese nationals among 6 killed in suicide attack in Pakistan

New Delhi, Mar 26: In Pakistan, Shangla’s Besham city witnessed a suicidal terrorist attack resulting in the death of six persons, including five Chinese nationals, as confirmed by the deputy inspector general of police (DIG) on Tuesday and quoted by Pakistan’s media.

According to the DIG, assailants rammed a vehicle laden with explosives into the car carrying the Chinese nationals, leading to the incident.

   

The DIG further disclosed that the Pakistani driver of the targeted vehicle sustained injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his wounds during medical care.

The victims, identified as engineers en route to Dasu camp in Kohistan from Islamabad, were on their way when the attack occurred. In response, a substantial deployment of security personnel has reached the spot securing the area and launching a search operation to track down the perpetrators.
