Missing woman found unconscious in Rajouri forest

A woman, who had been missing from her house since Monday evening, was found lying unconscious on Wednesday in a forest area of Chatyari village in Rajouri, police said.

As per reports with Greater Kashmir, “A family from Nadyala village of Rajouri lodged a complaint in Chingus Chatyari police post, wherein they stated that their daughter-in-law, Shaheen Akhter, wife of Mohammad Ishtiaq, went missing from the house on Monday evening. They also claimed that even after trying to search the woman, she remained untraceable.”

   

The police lodged a missing report and started investigations.

However, on Wednesday afternoon, the woman was found lying unconscious in the forest. She was shifted to district hospital Rajouri by team of police and locals. “The woman is under treatment and has not yet given a statement. Things will become clearer once we get a statement,” a police officer said.

Police are investigating the case further, the officer said.
