Jamia Masjid Leh has a great historical significance as Shah-e-Hamdan (RA) had delivered a sermon at the mosque when he came to Kashmir via silk route. To cater to thousands of worshippers, including tourists, Dr Abdul Qayoom, president Anjuman Moin-ul Islam, says that the work for renovating the mosque was started in 2017. In this special video, Dr Qayoom talks about how they are preserving the architecture of the mosque and also appeals to the general public to donate generously for the rest of the construction.
