Before completion, water leaks into SDH Mendhar building

Although its construction work is yet to be completed, water has started to seep in from the roof of the emergency block of sub-district hospital Mendhar.

Details revealed that the construction work of the emergencyblock was started in 2012-13 and has almost been completed, with some minorfinishing work pending.

   

However, the rainwater has started to seep in from roof ofthe building, raising serious concerns towards the quality of work that wasexecuted.

Vikas Sharma and Mohammad Khursheed, among other localssaid, “Mendhar sub district hospital is a vital institution as it caters to theneed of three tehsils and a vast border belt. The emergency block is a longpending need and is about to get completed, but the water leakage has raiseddoubts over execution of work.”

On being contacted, deputy commissioner, Poonch, Rahul Yadav, assured to initiate a probe into the issue.
