The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector on Saturday evening.
Reports said that cross-border firing started at about 6 pmin Keri-Battal area of Sunderbani sector. Small arms shelling and mortars werebeing exchanged when last reports poured in.
The Indian army spokesman said, “Pakistan initiatedunprovoked ceasefire violation by shelling with mortars and firing of smallarms along the LoC in Sunderbani sector.”He added, “Indian army is retaliating stronglyand effectively.”
