The provincial level Inter-District cricket tournament of Under-17 and 19 age group girls started at twin venues of HSS Bijbehara and Women’s College Anantnag on Saturday.
The tournament is organized by Department of Youth Servicesand Sports and was inaugurated by District Youth Services and Sports OfficerAnantnag Noor ul Haq Andrabi. In the event six teams from six districts areparticipating in each category.
After group matches, in the Under-17 category final playedat women’s College Anantnag venue, District Srinagar defeated District Anantnagin a thrilling finish.
In the Under-19 category semifinals played at HSS Bijbehara,Kulgam defeated Srinagar by eight wickets in first match while as in secondAnantnag defeated Ganderbal. The final would be played on july 22 at same venuebetween Anantnag and Kulgam.
