‘We talk of talking with Hurriyat, Pak but don’t talk to each other’

Stating that the Lower House was acting as a “nursery classroom”, minister for tourism Tasaduq Hussain Mufti on Monday said that members talking about initiating dialogue with Pakistan and Hurriyat were not in talking terms with each other. “We (members) talk about talking with Pakistan and Hurriyat but we don’t talk to each other,” Tasaduq Mufti said.

He said members should talk to each other in and outside this House. “Together we can make Kashmir a heaven,” he said.

“I have taken a big responsibility as tourism is a different and unique experience,” he said, adding that he has come as a newcomer and will learn from his seniors in the House.

“I am a filmmaker and not a politician. I don’t calculate or weigh my words before I speak. I have come to learn here,” he said.

Expressing concern over degrading environment, Tasaduq Mufti said earlier state had 45000 Chinars and the number has dwindled to just 7000.
