Around 24 residential houses develop cracks as major portion of road collapses in J&K’s Ramban

Srinagar, April 25: Around two-dozen residential houses have developed minor to major cracks after a massive portion of 5-km Ramban-Gool road caved-in, disconnecting over 60,000 people from the main town.

As per latest reports, the road is blocked and the traffic is halted, while authorities say they are on the job of restoring the road.

   

Reports coming in said that the sinking is currently taking place while the number of houses damaged could be much more than initially estimated.

Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Ramban said that an ambulance has been deputed to the spot to meet any emergencies.

Volunteers from various NGO’s are also on the spot assisting in rescue operations and moving people to safer places.
