Committee to analyse delinking of SKIMS medical college Bemina from SKIMS Soura

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday constituted a committee to analyse the feasibility of delinking SKIMS medical college Bemina from SKIMS Soura, Srinagar.

An order issued by the general administration department, reads, “Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a committee to analyze the feasibility of delinking SKIMS medical college Bemina from SKIMS Soura, Srinagar and vice versa.”

   

As per the order, administrative secretary, health and medical education department, shall be the chairman of the committee, while administrative secretary, finance department, administrative secretary, planning, development and monitoring department, director (ex-officio secretary to the government), SKIMS, principal, government medical college, Bemina, and additional secretary to government (administration), GAD will be its members. Besides, the committee may co-opt any officer/expert in its deliberations as a members as well, the order states.

The committee shall submit its report along with recommendations by or before March 10, 2019.
