5.7-magnitude earthquake hits Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, tremors felt in J&K

Srinagar, Feb 5: An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale was reported in Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region. Tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Delhi-NCR, reports said.

According to a review by the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake of 5.7 magnitude occurred at 9.45 am in Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region.

   

It said the quake struck at a depth of 181 km. There was no report of any loss of life or property from anywhere.
