Srinagar, Nov 5:BharatiyaJanata Party’s J&K unit Friday organised Diwali Milan and celebrated the occasion with religious fervour amid Vedic Aarti and distributions of sweets at the party headquarter in Jammu.
A statement of BJP issued here said that BJP leader Kavinder Gupta wished for peace, prosperity and health for everyone in the world.
He said that Diwali marks the victory of good over evil.
Gupta said that the day symbolises that no person with evil intentions could ever succeed in the world and ultimately the truth and God prevail.
He said that on this day, they pray to the Almighty that everyone is blessed with righteousness and mankind progresses ahead with the entire world as a single family.
Ashok Kaul wished all the BJP activists and the countrymen and said that the occasion teaches to follow the path of truth and fight for the right cause.
“Never lower your self-consciousness even in the hardest of the circumstances. It is the virtue of a righteous human and this is the real Dharma and our ancient culture has taught us for time immemorial,” he said.
