Srinagar, June 20: Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board Dr Darakhshan Andrabi on Monday presided over the 117th Annual Day function of Islamia Faridiya Educational and Research Institute at its Kishtwar Campus.
According to a press note, this premier educational and research institute serves Chinab Valley students in different streams and subjects. The function was attended by District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, SSP, Ex-MLAs, Ex-MLCs, the General Manager of NHPC, Institute Alumnae, Municipal Chairman Kishtwar Sajjad Najar, CEO of Waqf Board Dr Majid Jahangir, Administrator Waqf Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani and prominent citizens of Kishtwar and Doda. A cultural programme was presented by the students of the institute. Prominent ex-law makers Asghar peer, Qazi Jalaluddin, Khurshid Bhat and Tanveer Kichloo also participated. A complete report of achievements was presented by the Administrator before the Deputy Commissioner and SSP Kishtwar addressed the gathering.
