Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday condoled the demise of senior PDP leader and former minister Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan who passed away following a brief spell of illness.
“RafiqSahab was a renowned political personality across PirPanchal region, who devoted his entire life towards the upliftment of the people of the region,” Mehbooba said in a statement of PDP issued here.
Recalling Hussain’s close association with PDP founder Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, Mehbooba said, “Rafiq Khan Sahab was a close associate of Mufti Sahab and was instrumental in strengthening the party across the region.”
