Awantipora, Jan 21: A railway policeman died after being hit by a train near Panzgam Railway Station in south Kashmir’s Awantipora area on Friday.
He was identified as MuhamadHussain Dar, 48, head constable with with the Government Railway Police (GRP) .
“Dar was hit by a moving train near an area between Awantipora and Panzgam Railway Station and died on the spot,” an official said.
He said that the train had departed from Budgam at 4:24 pm towards Banihal Railway Station.
