United Jehad Council (UJC) on Wednesday condemned “torture” of the families of militants in Tral area of Pulwama district.
In an emailed statement issued to KNS, UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain said “the families of militants are being “tortured and harassed in an attempt to subjugate them”.
“We call upon human rights organisations to take strong note of these violations of human rights,” the statement said.
He also condemned the arrest of one Fayaz Parray and alleged that attempts are on to halt the academic career of the detained youth. (KNS)
