Jamaat to move court to challenge ban

Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday said that it would move to courtto challenge the ban imposed by the government.

“Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir terms the imposition ofban on the party as unconstitutional, undemocratic and unethical.

   

The allegations leveled against the Jama’at are concoctedand baseless. Jama’at will move to court and in this regards deliberations aregoing on with legal experts.

‘Jama’at carries its activities peacefully which aretransparent and visible. It works on priority basis for propagation of Islamicteachings, development of society and dignity of humanity,” a Jamaat statementsaid.

“Jama’at exhorts its cadre to remain disciplined and patientwhatever the circumstances will be,” it added.
