Danish Ahmed of B Sc 5th semester retained Islamia College annual cycle race title by finishing first in the event held on Saturday.
Islamia College Srinagar held its annual cycle race on Saturday and it was flagged off by College Principal, Prof. Muzafar Ahmed Khan. In the event 67 cyclists of the college participated.
Danish finished first while as Muzamil Hussain finished second. Suhail Nisar finished third. Samiullah Dar and Abid Bashir finished fourth and fifth respectively.
The prize distribution ceremony was held at Naseem Bagh in which Principal distributed prizes among the winners.
Prof. Shamim Ah Shamim convener college sports committee, Dr. Nasreen Qureshi, Prof. M D Gogloo and Prof. Abid Hussain and Prof. Nofiya besides members of college non teaching staff were also present on the occasion.
Prof. Nasreen Qureshi presented the vote of thanks. The event was organised by the department of Physical Education of the college.
