RAJOURI SHAHDARA ATTACK | Victim Govt employee laid to rest in presence of thousands of people

Rajouri, Apr 23:  Thousands of people on Tuesday attended the last rites of Mohammad Razaq, a junior assistant of Jammu and Kashmir Government, who was shot dead by suspected terrorists in his native village Shahdra of Rajouri district.

Deceased, working as Junior Assistant of Integrated Child Developed Scheme (ICDS), was present in his house alongwith his brother, a serving Indian Army soldier, when suspected terrorists barged in the house and fired at the two brothers.

   

Army soldier Tariq Hussain although escaped from the site after pushing one of the attacker and received minor injury in his thigh but Mohammad Razaq was shot in his face and he died on the spot.

On Tuesday, last rites of deceased were conducted in his native village which were attended by thousands of people drawn from all walks of life to include his colleagues, relatives, known, friends, villagers.

His Nimaz e Janaza were offered in the village as per religious rituals after which he was laid to rest in ancestral graveyard in the village.

Razaq, aged 40, was appointed in ICDS of Social Welfare Department on compassionate grounds after death of his father who was also killed by terrorists in 2004.

Razaq has left behind his five children including three daughters and two sons, wife, an aged mother while he is having four other brothers with two of them work in Arab countries while one of his younger brother is Indian Army soldier and other one is Engineer in Jal Shakti Department.
