The supercharged hosts Real Kashmir are going to take on Shillong Lajong FC in another home tie of I-League at TRC Turf Ground here Tuesday.

Buoyed by its two thumping wins in the last two matches, Real Kashmir would like to make it three in a row against the out-of-form Shillong Lajong FC.

Real Kashmir owing to 10 points from three wins, two defeats, one draw stand at fifth place on points table while as Shillong Lajong FC stand at 10th place with only four points.  Shillong Lajong FC has played seven matches in which the club have suffered defeats in five and have drawn one. They have managed to win only one match so far.

It will be another tough outing for Shillong Lajong FC against Real Kashmir FC that has been best defensive unit in league so far this season. Real Kashmir have got the best clean sheet record in league so far and have conceded least number of goals as well. In six games played so far by the club, they have conceded only three goals, two coming in single game against Neroca FC.

The strong defense of Real Kashmir has helped them to neutralise lack of goal-scoring upfront. They have scored only four goals in six games with two of them coming from midfielder Bazie Armand, who looks in great touch having scored in last two games. The game against Lajong FC, will be the last home this calendar year for the home side (six in trot) before they start tough away journey.

Real Kashmir coach Dave Robertson termed Lajong FC as an attacking side who look for goals every time.

“They keep playing the same way regardless of the score-line. They have been scoring goals, creating chances but they have been conceding goals too. But as time goes on, they will stop conceding many goals and I hope it does not start on Tuesday,” David said.

David Robertson said that Lajong FC is an experienced side that can create problems for his team if they don’t remain focused.

“They are experienced team having been playing together for a number of years. They have got the speed all over the pitch to trouble us and they create a lot of chances. We can’t afford to lose our focus and should fight for the every ball and every goal. It is a new game and we need to give it our 100 percent,” he said.

Despite the poor run, Lajong so far have managed to score nine goals from six different scorers. Phrangki Buam is leading the tally with three goals.

Lajong FC Coach Alison Kharsyntiew said that his side’s main aim is to bounce back in the league and getting the momentum back in favour of his side.

“It is not hidden fact that we have lost five games, drew one and won one. But at the same time everyone is aware about what we do and what has been happening with us. We have been scoring goals, creating chances and playing well. But somehow results have not gone in our favor,” he said.

“On Tuesday, we will put our 100 percent effort and try for to win against Real Kashmir. I think our main objective now is to try to bounce back and try to win all the remaining games. Hopefully, we will resume the winning run on Tuesday and get the three points. But it will be very difficult against Real Kashmir as they are a very good team and we have to give our best,” he added.
