Opposition questions Chief Minister on harassment of militants’ families

The opposition National Conference on Monday questioned the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti over harassment of the families of militants in Kashmir. 

“If anyone is militant, what is the crime of his family? Why their families and neighbours are being harassed?” NC’s Abdul Majid Larmi asked the Chief Minister who was present in the House.

   

The opposition lawmaker also drew attention of the House towards the ransacking of houses by government forces in Redwani area of Kulgam.

“The forces yesterday ransacked several houses in my constituency. Every house has suffered damaged worth Rs 30 lakh. Why this is happening every day?” he asked.

“I don’t want come into the Well everyday but I have no option than to raise issues of my people here.”

Larmi had also staged protests in the House on Saturday against setting up of an Army camp in Shamsipora area of south Kashmir.
