Srinagar: High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Tuesday quashed detention of two persons from Pulwama district and one from Baramulla, who were booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) last year.
Quashing the detention of Umer Rashid Dar of Drabgam Tehsil Rajpora District Pulwama and Musadiq Gaffar Lone of Niloora Tehsil Litter District Pulwama, a bench of Justice Sanjay Dhar directed the government to release the detainees from preventive custody forthwith provided they were not required in connection with any other case.
Besides these, a bench of Justice Ali Muhammad Magrey quashed the detention of Manzoor Ahmad Lone of Lachipora Baramulla who was booked under PSA in terms of an order passed by District Magesterate Baramulla on December 30, 2020.
