Kulgam, June 23:Kulgam police solved two hit and run cases and arrested the accused persons involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement police said that Police Station Qazigund received information that three persons riding on a motorcycle were hit by unknown vehicle at GundiporaQazigund resulting on spot death of two persons namely Nisar Ahmad Thokar and Javid Ahmad Thokar both the sons of Abdul GaniThokar residents of SopatTengpora. However the injured person namely Mushtaq Ahmad Najar son of GhulamRasoolNajar resident of SopatTangpora was immediately shifted to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
“The driver of the vehicle namely Bilal Ahmad Wani son of GhulamNabiWani resident of ChamalvasBanihal was arrested and the vehicle bearing registration number JK01F-8968 was also seized. He has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody,” it said. Meanwhile in another incident, “Police Station Qaimoh received information that a vehicle bearing registration No. JK02AB-0099 hit and injured three pedestrians namely Rumeena Jan, MubeenaAkther and Jasim Mohammad Dar all the residents of GufbalQaimoh. The injured persons were immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries.”
“The driver of the vehicle namely GhulamJeelani son of Ali Mohammad Wani resident of Firdous Colony Buchpora Srinagar was arrested and the vehicle involved in the commission of offence has also been seized,” the statement reads.
Accordingly, cases under relevant section of law stands registered in respective police stations and investigation have been initiated. Community members have applauded the strenuous efforts of Police for solving both cases.
